The WellPoint Foundation provides additional, dynamic opportunities for WellPoint to improve the quality of health care in our communities - above and beyond our established partnerships and programs. In 2009, the WellPoint Foundation and its affiliated foundations committed more than $14.7 million in grants that benefit communities across the nation.

Founded in 1984, the American Institute for Managing Diversity (AIMD) was the first national, nonprofit diversity think tank created for the purpose of advancing the field of diversity management.

Bender Consulting Services provides superior technology consulting services to industry leading companies nationwide, while focusing singularly on creating employment and career opportunities, independence and freedom for people with disabilities. BCS specializes in areas such as finance, IT, human resources and operations.

The Diversity Leadership Academy of Greater Indianapolis (DLAGI) is a community-based leadership development program focused on diversity and helping leaders understand our similarities, differences and the challenges facing all of us. There have been over 130 graduates of this program since its inception in 2003.

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has opened community resource centers in four Indiana cities that will provide outreach services to families enrolled in the state’s health insurance program for children. The cities are Indianapolis, Evansville, Columbus and Merrillville.

The National Eagle Leadership Institute® is a premier leadership development resource for African-American and Latino professionals and college students that offers efficient and cost-effective strategies to empower leaders and the companies that support them. NELI also produces CareerFOCUS Magazine, "The Magazine for Today's Professional Lifestyles."

Project SEARCH serves people with disabilities through innovative workforce and career development, and educates employers about the potential of this underutilized workforce while meeting their human resource needs. WellPoint is currently piloting Project SEARCH’ s High School Transition Program at its Worthington, OH location. This is a one-year educational program for students with disabilities in their last year of high school and whose main goal is competitive employment. The program facilitates the teaching and learning process through on-the-job coaching, regular feedback and application of new skills.

The Urban League serves to enable African Americans, other people of color and disadvantaged individuals to secure economic self-reliance, parity and power, and civil rights.

The United States Business Leadership Network is the only national disability organization led by business for business, and supports its local chapters by using a business approach to promote best practices in hiring, retaining, and marketing to people with disabilities. There are 44 chapters in 32 states, including the District of Columbia, representing more than 5,000 employers across the U.S.
